You can create a video from your book to help promote it -- or even sell the video. The two major formats are:
Book chapters, which can be combined into a complete book
Book trailer, which is used to promote and sell your book
A book chapter is typically 3-7 minutes, and features the main points of the chapter, using actors, still photos, special effects, and other techniques to dramatize each chapter. These can be stand-alone chapters, or you can combine them together with some narration or graphics to create a complete 45-90 minute book video. This was done for THE SECRET, and not only was sold or rented as a video, but it created a viral marketing campaign that turned THE SECRET into a multi-million dollar seller.
A book trailer is typically 1-2 minutes, and presents a quick preview of the major topics covered in your book. It can feature actors, still photos, special effects and other techniques to create a powerful selling piece for your book.
Once completed, you can upload these videos onto YouTube and other video sharing sites to offer them for free or in some cases get paid per view. You can also feature them on your Website or offer them to other sites. If you are mainly using a trailer or book chapter for promotion and to generate traffic to your site, offer them for free. Or you can use various systems to get paid for downloads or views on line.
Here are some examples of videos we have created for the book: Want It, See It, Get It! -- these are the first four videos -- the Introduction, Chapter 1, Chapter 2, and Chapter 3.
